Payment Options

The Clark College Bookstore accepts the following payment methods in the bookstore.

Cash - in store only.

Check - in store only.
Student must present current Clark College student ID or proof of enrollment (Current term schedule with printed SID #) accompanied by matching photo ID. Check must be for exact amount of purchase only, no cash may be given back. Checks are made payable to Clark College Bookstore.

Credit/Debit Card - in store or on-line.
The Bookstore accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards and debit cards with hologram. Students must present a matching valid ID to pay by credit card in store. For online orders, "bill to" address must match the card's billing address for approval.

Gift Card - in store only.

Online Processing

Order Delivery

Though “USED” and “NEW” may be reflected as options when you place your order, if your preferred choice is not available at the time of picking, substitutions will be made as available. Substitutions will affect the final amount charged at processing. Be prepared for these possible price differences when you receive your order.

Web orders may take up to 2 business days, after receipt of order, to process plus additional 2-5 business days for delivery via FedEx ground. Weekends and academic holidays do not count as business days. FedEx will not deliver to P.O. Boxes.

The Bookstore refund policy applies to on-line orders. Freight charges are non-refundable.

Textbook Reservation Service

Books reserved on line will be picked, processed, and held in the bookstore and can be purchased at your convenience after 2 business days.

Textbook reservations are not pre paid, though reservations require a valid credit card, this is for processing only, and the credit card will not be pre-charged. Full payment is due upon pick up.

Substitutions will affect the final amount due at pick up. Be prepared for these possible price differences when you pick up your reservation.

All reservations must be picked up by the Friday before the start of the new quarter. A $10.00 fee will be charged to the credit card submitted with the order for any orders not picked up or canceled by the specified date. You may call or email bookstore@clark.edu at any time to cancel your reservation.

Reservation service is turned off three days prior to the start of each quarter.

Shipping Costs

Textbook orders are delivered via FedEx Ground. FedEx recommends allowing 2-5 business days for delivery. Shipping charges: $6.95 for first item, $2.00 each additional. Freight charges are non-refundable.

Return Policy

Original receipt and valid photo ID are required for all refunds and exchanges.

Textbooks purchased for a new quarter must be returned within the first 10 business days of the start of the same college quarter.

Textbooks purchased after the 10th business day of the current quarter, and all other store items, must be returned within 7 business days of purchase.

Items must be in new/original condition; unused, unopened, unworn with tags and packaging intact, free of marks, eraser marks, page, and/or cover bends.

Computer hardware and sale items may not be returned or exchanged.

Defective items should be returned immediately for replacement.

Refunds will be processed via the same method of original payment. Refunds originally paid by check, exceeding $200.00, will be processed and a check refund will be mailed within approximately four weeks of original purchase date.

Shipping charges on web orders are non-refundable.

Original mail order receipt must accompany mail order returns. Verify contact information on mail order receipt to expedite processing. Original and shipping charges will not be refunded.

Finding Your Books

The booklist for each new quarter usually comes out four weeks before the start of the new quarter. Once the booklist is out the most efficient way to find your books is to have a copy of your current schedule, you will receive a copy of your schedule when you register or you can print one off HERE. Your schedule provides the course prefix, the course number, and section numbers you will need for each class.

It will look similar to this:

First, DIV (MATH) is the class prefix which specifies the department to look in, the NUM (113) identifies is the course number in the department and finally the ITEM (3201) identifies the specific class requirements as provided by the instructor.

You can shop at the Bookstore or online @ Online Reservations and Web Orders.  Web Orders are shipped to your address, Reservations are held in the bookstore up to the Friday prior to the quarter start.
