If you have a question, we have the answer! |
WHERE IS THE BOOKSTORE LOCATED?
The bookstore is located at the north end of the campus in Gaiser
Hall. The closest parking is in the Green Lot 1.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BUY/RENT MY TEXTBOOKS?
Four weeks before the quarter begins a new “BOOKLIST” is released by the bookstore.
The "Booklist" can be located in the store, at the Text & Reference desk or
on-line. Purchasing early is always a good way to avoid
the long lines that occur during the first week of classes.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT BOOKS I NEED?
When you visit the Bookstore bring a copy of your schedule. Books
are organized by Department, Course Number and Item Number, information
that is easily found on your schedule.
1) Locate a Booklist
2) Look up the Department (i.e. “ENGL”)
3) Match up the 3-digit Course Number (i.e. “101”)
4) Match up the 4-digit Item Number as listed on your schedule and the Booklist. It will be called an "Item Number" on your schedule and a "Section Number" on the Booklist.
After you have determined this section number you will be able to see all the required and optional books for your class.

WHAT IF MY CLASS IS NOT LISTED ON THE BOOKLIST?
If a class is not listed on the Booklist it may mean that no book is
required, or that a decision is still pending. It is a good idea to
check back before classes start to obtain any updated or changed
information.
HOW CAN I AVOID STANDING IN LONG LINES?
The Bookstore offers two services to help students conveniently
obtain their books.
RESERVATIONS - You
can come into the bookstore or reserve books from your computer.
Books placed on reserve in the store will require a $10 deposit which is
refundable if the books are picked up by the due date specified.
Online reservations are also held in the bookstore and will require a
credit card to secure the hold. If the order isn't
canceled or picked up by the specified date we will charge a $10
restocking fee. Reservations must be picked up no later than the
Friday before classes start (allow two business days to process before
picking up).
ONLINE ORDERING -
You can order your books online with a major credit card and have them
shipped out of the store directly to your home. It will
take us 2-3 business days to process your order, for local in-town
shipments it generally takes UPS 3-5 business days to deliver your
package, if the order is being shipped out of town it will take longer
depending on the distance.
WHAT AND WHEN IS BUYBACK?
“BUYBACK” is a service provided to allow students to get added
value from textbooks they do not wish to keep. BUYBACK takes place
during finals week of each quarter at the Bookstore. However, only books
that are being used again, have all the applicable pieces, are in
useable condition, and that the Bookstore has an additional need for
will be bought back. (If your books are being bought back you can expect
to receive up to 50% of the current new condition retail price in CASH!)
Check the current
buyback schedule.
CAN I RETURN MY TEXTBOOKS?
Typically textbooks may be returned within three business days of
the date of purchase with a RECEIPT. The only exception to the
three day policy is at the start of a new quarter. Books bought on or
after the release date of the booklist may be returned up to the end of
the second week of the new quarter. A RECEIPT must accompany all
returns and books must be in original condition.
